The race starts and finishes at the Kingston Hawker Centre situated in Lower Ham Road KT2 5BH.
Make sure you don’t miss this opportunity of running through the streets of Kingston and along the scenic river towpath. The race start is 09:15 and is very accessible by car and public transport.
This year in celebration of the NHS and the contribution it has made to the health of the nation, we are encouraging runners to support Kingston Hospital Charity, the Kingston 10K’s official charity partner, which raises vital extra funds for Kingston Hospital. Further information is provided as part of the event registration process.
The race has a great vibe and well supported by some local organisations. All runners will receive a medal for finishing as well as loads of goodies at the finish including water, juices, fruit and a chocolate bar!
We use the latest Chip Timing technology so you will get an accurate finishing time. The results are posted as soon as you cross the finish line! We will have a free baggage drop facility for you to use. This area will be cordoned off but we do advise against storing any valuables as we can’t be held responsible.
Toilets will also be provided at the start / finish area. An official race photographer will be in attendance around the course so make sure they catch you when you are looking your very best!
Please note that we are not allowing the use of any headphones unless they are Bone Conducting Headphones.as stated under UKA Rule 240 S 5.
A medical team will also be situated at the start area. We will also have a pre-race warm up around 10 minutes before the race start to warm up those tight muscles so you will be ready for the run. All in all we are ready – the question is are you ready to take on the challenge?
Arrival, Venue Directions & Parking
The race starts and finishes on the fields at the Hawker Centre, on Lower Ham Road, Surrey, KT25BH, as indicated by the arrow on the map below.
Please note that we have lost use of the Hawker Centre Car Park - there will be NO CAR PARKING within the Centre as in previous years Members were complaining that they couldn’t park their cars! There will be a marshal on the gates to turn runners away. Please park your cars in the surrounding roads. There is loads of free parking in and around the Hawker Centre. Please use common sense when parking and do not block any driveways. On a plus note we do again have access to the main building which will be open from 8am. Please note we did lose the main building last year as again Members complained about runners bringing in muddy trainers and taking over the Centre. So we have been given a second chance! However, if we get even 1 complaint from the Members then we will lose the site for future runs!
If travelling by train, the nearest station is Kingston. From the station, turn left onto Richmond Road and either catch the 65 bus towards Ealing or walk to the Hawker Centre (20 mins) If travelling by car, there is NO PARKING at the HAWKER CENTRE. There will be Marshals at the Gates to stop runners parking inside the Centre. There is plenty of free parking in the nearby residential roads. Dukes Avenue and Riverside Drive are close by. Please be considerate to the residents, by keeping noise to a minimum, if parking in these areas.
